2021-2022 London insight series.

  1. In 2020- 2021 , as can be seen in the insight sessions in zoom in the 2020-2021 directory we pivoted successfully into easy -attend, popular, and valuable insight sessions in ‘zoom’ from May 2020 and into 2021. We were even able to manage MORE insight sessions than the usual bi- monthly face to face sessions in St James in London. We held our very first face to face lunch in St James Square in late May 2021. All slidesets for these zoom events were carried in our usual end monthly members reports
  2. We held our first larger members ‘sell-out’ planning lunch was held on Thursday November 2021 as we started to plan for 2022.
  3. On January 20th 2022 we held a small ‘honour lunch’ for the new Chairman of the Army and Navy Club, ex banker Frank Froud where we hold many of our London face to face events. We were also Joined at the lunch by Retired Para Lt Colonel Philip Neame MBE co- founder and Deputy Chairman of www.ulyssestrust.co.uk, our chosen charity. Philip Neame’s memoir as the company commander of ‘D’ Company of 2 Para in the Falklands war, 40 years ago, has just been published ( ‘Penal Company ‘on the Falklands’. Amazon. D Company was affectionately labelled ‘The Penal Company ‘ in those times) his book has had many excellent reviews and is very prescient about the vital importance of training and morale of the front line soldier in time of war, now we have a very major European conflict in the Ukraine. It seems that the Russian army continue to treat their soldiers as’ badly led’ ‘cannon- fodder’ whilst the Ukrainian army indeed the whole country is demonstrating exceptional, leadership, agility, communications ability and grit. It will not be the first time that a smaller country has made an lumbering and bullying aggressor look very stupid. Much now depends on the ‘will’, more arms to Ukraine, and the combined economic strength of Western Democratic Nations to apply even more pressure on Russia’s dictator.
  4. We have other face to face ‘insight sessions’ in the pipeline for 2022. Our next event scheduled is in the Army and Navy Club, on the evening of Wednesday May 11th from 6.30pm , followed by supper for T-L.com members and friends in the Club dining room from about 8.15pm. Dress- smart casual. Speaker is one of our T-L.com members ex banker Eliot Heilpern on ‘The unforeseen consequencies of technology’ Cost of talk is £10. For the supper following allow £25 payable on the night. For more information just e mail to info@transformation-leaders.com. It is essential to pre- book for club security purposes.
